STAGE 1 WATER RESTRTICTION FOR HESSEQUA

06 Nov 2017 in Where We Govern

The water situation throughout the Western Cape calls for responsible water management from all citizens. Even in those areas where the water scarcity is not as serious as in Cape Town and surrounding areas, responsible water management is crucial.

As such the Hessequa municipality has implemented water saving regulations and restrictions that will be regulated in terms of the Water & Sanitation Bylaw

1.1 Gardens may only be watered between 16h00 – 18h00.

1.2 Sprayers may be used, but water hoses may not be used without supervision.

1.3 Hosing down of paving and cement surfaces are not permitted.

1.4 Washing of vehicles/boats/caravans will be allowed by means of a bucket.

DID YOUR KNOW? Using a bucket of water to wash your car without a hosepipe, will save more than 300 liters with each wash
