Two construction projects in the Matzikama local municipality with a combined value of over R44 million will provide much needed housing opportunities to the residents of Vredendal and Lutzville.
Executive Mayor Johan van der Hoven and MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela was present in Vredendal North for the official turning of the sod ceremony in January this year.
The project in Vredendal North will yield 382 homes and will be completed in June 2019. The project in Lutzille will yield 327 homes and its completion date is yet to be determined.
Mayor van der Hoven said that he is excited about the change the projects will bring to the lives of the recipients.
