Jeff Zwane is affectionately known as “Mangethe”, a former teacher by profession and retired from the Department of Education as an inspector.
Jeff was elected as the executive mayor of Metsimaholo local municipality on the 3rd December 2021.
Jeff Zwane joined the DA in 2007 and became an opposition councillor in 2017 after the local government election re-run in Metsimaholo and served on the Municipal Public Accounts Standing Committee (MPAC).
Metsimaholo local municipality is one of the two municipalities in the northern Free State governed by a DA minority government after Local Government elections in November 2021.
